Jeffrey Katz

Jeffrey is the managing partner of Baritz KBK, with a practice that focuses on guiding and advising clients who are business and real estate owners. His unique approach to providing legal counsel with a balance sheet mindset provides a business-oriented perspective. This allows clients to feel comfortable prioritizing costs and profitability when dealing with legal issues as well as proactive planning. Regardless of the matter or issue a client brings, he will work with clients to quickly identify the best plan for their business in each situation to allow for growth and continued success.

Jeffrey spent a large portion of the past 25 years running and overseeing many companies across the country himself, both owner-operated and publicly traded. He headed up merger negotiations, provided counsel and transactional support through company growth and sell-offs. Upon transitioning careers into law, Jeffrey started out as a solo practitioner, honing his skills representing clients in all levels of Pennsylvania and New Jersey courts. As his firm grew, he began focusing on dispute resolution for his real estate and corporate clients. His ability to problem-solve and issue-spot by navigating clients through and away from costly litigation is what separates him from many of his counterparts. Jeffrey also specializes in contract formation and negotiation, financing issues, lender representation, and general business planning.

Jeffrey received his bachelor’s degree from Johnson and Wales in Providence Rhode Island and his J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law here in Philadelphia. He has been a partner in two previous firms prior to his role with Baritz KBK and has a long history of working with all his partners on many matters. He currently resides in North Wilmington, Delaware with his wife and three children.
